En esta nueva edición de Las Calles del Ritmo, hay quienes la describen como una religión (Laura Nyro), quienes la insultan (Al Kooper) o la califican como una asesina (Gil Scott-Heron), incluso como un cementerio (los Moldy Peaches) en el que morirían en sus calles tan a gusto (LCD Soundsystem)...
Otros hablan de sus mafiosos (Fun Lovin Criminals) y de sus chulos (Tom Waits), dedican odas a alguno de sus barrios (Bill Withers, Beastie Boys), recuerdan pintorescos hechos reales como el Gran Apagón de 1977 (The Trammps) o, simplemente, se despiden de ella con tristeza (REM), como hacemos ya mismo en este programa.
